Re: Great Divers watch site.
In Response To: Re: Great Divers watch site. ()

I had a lot of fun photographing my watches this past week one by one and this 032 was the last and best shot I took - all under natural lighting and cleaned up in Photoshop.
I did a little research on the Diver and from the available catalogues in seems that they first apeared in 1979. Are you aware of a definitive list with models and dates? I wounder how many of the forum members would be interested.
The Diver was a major direction change from the chronograph but when you look at the pieces from the mid 1980's onwards and especially into the Tag era the Diver was the forerunner for the entire collection. If you look at the 1990 catalogue its all Divers in one form or another. New Tag chronographs came later and like other design lead consumer goods, the did the retro thing like the Beetle, Mini, Fiat etc.
