Excellent Points, Rich
In Response To: Re: ()

: To hear they had seal goop makes no difference as any dial used for
: a good period of time with a Monaco seal could result in that
: outcome.

good point here . . . I once had a Monaco with a service ticket from 1998, and the goop was as bad as we have ever seen. So the bad gaskets do not tell us that the watch is from the 1970's . . . they only tell us that we are seeing a bad gasket.

: Perhaps another manufacturer is the answer and some redials better
: than the ones pictured. On these its all wrong and if service no
: reason on these to use non service/ non original hands.

great point here . . . if these are service dials, perhaps used when the gasket goop has destroyed the original dial, why are they so often matched with the short little hands? this combination points to someone who had a load of the dials refinished and had a batch of the compnaion hands produced . . . doubtful that this "someone" was Heuer.

: We may never get a definitive answer unless Jack or the Master can
: be 100%...But even then, doubts would persist as all other Heuer
: dials from other models have consistent tells to mark
: authenticity such as the "official" Monacos have...

: The closest are 73633b with blue subs BUT these show enough issues
: to be doubtful whatever a letter may say from TH service dept
: imo.

Thanks for this response, Rich.
