Re: Israeli Air Force Heuer - help with markings

Hi Jarl,
Thanks man, thats handy - I spoke to an Mil expert in African watches - seems it is most likely Kenyan AF.. so post further down with my findings. I even had someone else contact me with the same markings but a different number.. see posts further down below.
It could be South African Airforce, but all the info is pointing to the Kenyan AF (82 AF), named after the mil-coup attempt in 1982.

: Hi, I don't think that story about an Israeli pilot is true.

: The exact same watch was posted at this forum in 2009
: http://www.chronocentric.com/forums/heuer/index.cgi?md=read;id=31865

: The poster had just found it at a fleamarket, and wants to know
: more about the military marking.

: Good news is that I am pretty shure it is issued to the South
: African Airforce. They use this AF + number marking and the use
: Lemania powered chronographs.

: Take a look at the exellent site
: http://www.wix.com/rbasson/saafwatches # and check out the
: markin on the Lemania watches.

: best regards
