Re: unusual Heuer chrono?
In Response To: Re: unusual Heuer chrono? ()

Zac,
I'm not trying to close down any discussion, simply joining in.
This is an open public forum and I was just offering some advice.
Sorry if it isn't what you wanted to read.

The French made Heuers are well documented, and I'm sure a lot of people have paid high sums for fake watches.

A note of warning about any advice you may get from Tag Heuer. They too sometimes get it wrong. There was a lot of turmoil at the time of TAG acquiring Heuer, so records weren't a high priority. It is not uncommon for Tag Heuers Swiss 'vintage' department to seek the help of members of this forum when researching models. I myself have worked briefly with their Heritage department on verifying model details.

This forum has some of the worlds most respected Heuer collectors.

: I am referencing those models as they are free of all marks, or at
: least one is. I was led to believe that the real thing is marked
: practically all over apart from the French made models.

: I dont know what you are replying for, if it is only to try to
: close the discussion....so, as far as you are concerned this is
: 100% fake? how can you guarantee this?

: Indeed I may be citing fakes in my examples, I wouldnt know, but I
: am also citing their realised prices. Which appear high for
: accepted fakes.

: I am awaiting a responce from Heuer, as so far we have a consensus,
: but nothing guaranteed.

: No offence, but many people already lost out over French made
: models and such, due to being told they were fake.
