Re: unusual Heuer chrono?
In Response To: Re: unusual Heuer chrono? ()

"Yes, note the first link in my last post chaps,
http://www.bukowskismarket.com/items/115381/images/3
they bid 789 euros for a fake, correct? "

Yes, a fake/franken in my opinion

"this seems to be another
version of mine, with chronographe incabloc swiss made, no
emblem on crown etc....

http://www.chrono24.com/en/heuer/2-register-chronograph-circa-1970s--id1884508.htm?picnum=0&tab=pics
which model is this by the by? "

Another fake / franken in my opinion

"I paid-wait for it- 120 quid for mine, can change dial and still
have a watch worth double just due to movement and case.
Questions, if I can borrow your expertise once again! forgive
me....

The dial we are saying is falsified, therefore it isnt Heuer, but
are we saying it is also NOT a copy of any existing Heuer? so it
was falsified in that odd way one sometimes sees on Rolex?? so,
double fake so to speak? "

Yes, using your rationale a double fake

" I am looking at the watch now, and the face screams
quality......applied markers with the original phosphorous
sections, with tiny aged phosphorous dots below them. The emblem
doesnt seem very crude, but it is not applied.
Regarding the face, is it the same case as with omega, that
removing the face will reveal numbers etc which provide info on
authenticity? for example, if one were to go out and out to
prove this to be a fake Heuer, what must be done? if I take it
to my watchsmith, and have him take it apart would that do any
good? "

I don't think you'll prove anything more than the consensus given on here that it is a watch that has had a Heuer logo popped onto it.

"Thanks again and sorry for seeming stubborn, I want to tie up all
loose ends so that this thread will remain a shrine for lost
souls!!! such as the poor fool selling one identical to mine on
ebay Italy for 1,300 euros buy it now. In Genova, where oddly
enough I bought mine.

This couldnt be an odd continental model could it??? "

I don't think it's an odd continental model - there's just no evidence to suggest it's made by Heuers
