Re: Fallacy of the 'International Warranty' (more)

Derek, I bet this has been said a thousand times, but I do not understand why Omega (or other brands), having their own web site running, doesn't allow registration via the net. Then any (world-wide) authorized Omega dealer could look up via a dealer-code the current warranty status of the particular watch?. This is possible for the smallest and cheapest PC stuff, why shouldn't it be possible for a 1000§ and up watch. Am I too optimistic or is there still somebody asleep ;-) ?.

Cheers, Andreas

: As I keep saying, companies like Omega need more than just
: nice sounding but hollow benefits like 'International
: Warranty' to support their customers who have done the
: 'right thing' by buying from authorized dealers.
