I'm always to blame..>>

: after seeing Ron's SMP with rubber strap, I
: thought I'd order one and occasionally
: change from bracelet to strap and back, to
: give my watch a different look.

See, my fault.

: I shelled out a fair amount of cash for this
: strap, but when it arrived, it was not the
: one in Ron's post.

Out of curiosity, how much did you pay?

: Rather, it was the one that Derek and I have
: both seen on Omega brochures for the SMP.

: The strap I received came with the clasp, but
: the strap itself was not the speedmaster
: double ridged type with the lug aperture
: filled in.

Did you order it as an SMP replacement?

: Instead, it was a just a thick, flat navy blue
: rubber strap. Since my watch is a SMPC and
: is about as thick as a tuna can, you can
: imagine that the over all effect was not too
: sharp.

Oy vey!

: I am hoping I can order the double ridge style
: straps and insert them into the clasp, and
: that they will take the flat straps
: back...we'll see if this is a possibility.

1. Can't you return it?
2. Can you scan or take a pic of the clasp, or at the very least describe it to me so we can see if it will fit the double ridge straps.

Good luck on round two. If there are any more problems, blame Derek. ;-)

Warm Regards,
Ron
