The guy didn't service his watch...more
In Response To: O.GMT and Leaks ()

the owner did not service his watch as recommended by the manufacturer. Every watch will leak if not properly taken care of. He obviously went from hot to cold in water conditions that detoriate seals quicker. He spends too much time in the water without considering the watches gaskets, especially after one year. It is recommended to service the watch yearly if you are active around water. It is his mistake for not knowing how to take better care of his watch. Louis

: Hi, all! Just blew in from Timezone. I just read a horror story about a
: seamaster pro that leaked, and the terrible customer service by the
: retailer and omega in the process. You'll find it
: at:http://www.magicnet.net/~aaa/omega.html. I'm interested in buying a new
: GMT, but that put me off a bit. How common is this? Y'all must be
: dedicated fans to post here, so let me hear the other side of the Omega
: story... cheers, Tyler
