I never swim in any watch or expose any watch
In Response To: O.GMT and Leaks ()

No matter what their level of water resistance is, or if the seals are new or not. The only watch I don't take off near water is my Timex ironman, and I don't care if it stops working or not! Reccomended service should be adheard to, and not taken lightly. I think the key word in watch ratings is RESISTANT, not Proof. I agree people seem to think their expensive watches are indestructable, and should never need service. I think Derek is right, alot of the fault is some of the watch companies. Just my opinion Regards, Sonny (never had a moisture problem yet) Dryer

: Hi, all! Just blew in from Timezone. I just read a horror story about a
: seamaster pro that leaked, and the terrible customer service by the
: retailer and omega in the process. You'll find it
: at:http://www.magicnet.net/~aaa/omega.html. I'm interested in buying a new
: GMT, but that put me off a bit. How common is this? Y'all must be
: dedicated fans to post here, so let me hear the other side of the Omega
: story... cheers, Tyler
