Tks yr feedback, reasuring to hear that the co-axial should not just be hype. i hv timed the watch for 16 days now and she gains just under 6 seconds per day (including testing different postions) so recon must be about +5 sec with face up at night which seems to minimise the gain. i'll mention it to the dealer i bought the PO from on occasion, and if it hasn't settled in in 6 months or so, get him to adjust it. do u know if the dealer shld do this, or shld it be send into to omega, or can any watch maker do it? tks again.
: For what it's worth all men's Omega Mechanicals
: can easily be regulated to well within the
: COSC standard of -4/+6 seconds. Being 5
: seconds fast and close to the cosc limits
: suggests it needs regulating again. The
: Co-axial design should be more accurate than
: convential pallet fork. But by accurate I
: mean it's less susceptibly to slipping it's
: timing up or down during the day or week due
: to owner's personal wearing habits.
: Therefore once regulated, it should, in
: theory, vary it's rate less, over a given
: time period, than a non-coaxial movement
: regulated to same degree of accuracy
: initially. To give you an idea of what is
: capable, my personal 1164 movement gains 1-2
: seconds a week (not day) but you have to be
: a little anal in your regulation adjustment
: increments to achieve this. So I would not
: be surprised if the co-axial is capable of
: less than 1 second a week regulation with
: fine tweaking.
