Hi Sam,

Great watch ! & it's nice to see all the paperwork with it. You must be very happy.

I'm not sure about the box though.

I see the date on one of the papers is 1989. (is that when it was bought ? ) This model first came onto the market in 1986..

Sometime later, & I'm not sure when they came onto the market, Omega released a Seamaster which I think the box was developed for. I have a 1988 Seamaster brochure featuring the Gold/Titanium Seamasters. If you look at these models, you can easily see how the box, you picture, was developed for them.

HOWEVER !! I believe that Omega does NOT ship their watches to the dealer in boxes. I think the dealer puts the watch in the box ( just before selling it to the customer ). So it is VERY possible that when this watch left the dealers, it was in exactly this box. ( certainly this box would have been available from 1988 - at least - onwards & was used for titanium models).

Having written all this, I don't think I have the "right" to say it's the wrong box. I'd just say it is a box more usually associated with another model.

Whatever. It's an amazing watch. Enjoy it !

S.
