Thanks again Desmond, you seem to be a wealth of knowledge. Not exactly sure what a pin vise is, but ill give it a go with some needle nose pliers. Seems that it would be a similar principle.

Also, what is the best way to remove watch hands? One of those hand prying tools (like a miniature cro-bar?) that Ofrei sells? Or could I find something around the house that would work as well like some curved ended tweezers? Thanks again for the help. Im talking about removing hands on a vintage Omega cal. 500.

And once removed, how do I get them back on?
