My Scare
In Response To: Scary trip: your experience??? ()

my scare was several months ago, when I shipped approximately $7,000 of watches to a watchmaker, and for some reason -- that I still do not understand -- I insured the package for a considerably lower amount. Then the package went missing for four or five days.

In the end, it arrived safely, but this was a good way to learn a lesson about insurance. when you ship watches, and consider the insurance, you must pretend that you will never see the watches again . . . so be certain about the insurance (address, label, packing, etc.)!!
