base their production and marketing strategy on numbers, pure and simple; number of sales and bottom line profits. If a model continues to sell well, they will make it.
As for not wanting to buy a "discontinued" watch, we're not talking about a Yugo here (where 3 years after it's discontinued parts are going to be a problem)! The sooner they discontinue the watch, the fewer Bond models will be out there, and the price they fetch will probably go up. It is and has been an incredibly popular model, and will probably continue to be so.
