That is correct on the dial--the 'blue' dial of the Seamaster is actually a wave pattern mixing navy blue and a blue-gray. It creates an intentional effect that looks good with either blue or black clothes. So that is exactly how it is supposed to look.

Are you SURE they were an authorized Omega dealer? I would contact Omega headquarters through the Contact page of their official site at www.omega.ch and report this. If they are an authorized dealer and are refusing to provide verifiably unaltered Omega products, then that is a problem Omega should know about. Omega may direct you to a different dealer of may have a talk with that dealer to straighten out the problem.
