That watch is not unusual--Omega has made many Seamaster Chronographs over the years. They are very good watches and should last a long time.

Yes, that left inner subdial is rather interesting!

But you should NEVER trust the water resistance of any 15+ year old watch--certainly not for swimming or snorkeling. Even if serviced and the seals replaced, nobody will guarantee the water resistance of an older watch. So it will be entirely at your risk and expense if it fails.

Also understand that even when new, you could not safely use the chronograph buttons under water. Only the current Seamaster Professional Chronograph has that capability.
