Baruch, my friend. Ten years? Why I have a 20 year old quartz watch. Never given me a moment's trouble. Contains an ETA movement. Can be completely replaced for under $100, should the need arise. On the other hand, my 1937 Girard-Perregaux, should the need arise, may a. need the assistance of an experienced watch-maker to replicate the part, or b. an extensive search for a salvaged part from another source. All in all, expensive either way you go.
