Clarity of Rolex inhouse production.

Rolex does not contract others. Period.
They have bought out all their contractors and produce everything - crystal, case, and all movements inhouse. Parts may be outsourced but the manufacture is done on facility. They have bought out new land and will open another school for watchmakers which will work for Rolex.

In contrast, Omega outsources certain things (almost everything) like certain cases (Lascor does some of their cases - http://www.lascor.com/)
to other manufactures and some movement work (Comadure - http://www.comadur.ch/). Bracelets and crowns are done by Meco (Swatch subsidary).
SOme of their design and protypes are done by by ASULAB and CDNP (Swatch R&D firms).. All these companies are Swatch subsidary.

The manufacture, design of watches are different by the two companies. They have two different philosophies.
