True.

But as you point out, ALL these companies that do work for Omega are owned by Omega's parent company.

So the difference between "all of Rolex's work is done by divisions of Rolex" versus "all of Omega's work is done by divisions of Omega's parent company" still sounds mostly semantic to me.

And as you point out, many of Rolex's suppliers *used* to be separate companies and were then bought by Rolex. So Rolex did not build their entire infrastructure from the ground up either.

These are both superior companies--heck, they are the two top producing luxury watchmakers in the world! And they really are not that different.

So it sounds like all Omega needs to do is have their parent company "The Swatch Group" adopt the "Omega" name instead and then they will be able to blow Rolex completely out of the water!
