Omega SMP stopping

I purchased a midsize Omega SMP in April and it has yet to work properly. I have brought it to two seperate shops (the first a certified dealer and the second an Omega recomended and registered service shop) and each time the watch has worked for the remainder of the day and then stopped when I take it off- usually in the same spot although the spot changes each time it is "fixed." I think there is a bad tooth somewhere because when the watch is jarred it runs again. Anybody have any suggestions?
