Please take my posting as intended, ie. a warning to other users when buying off auction sites to make sure they're not being taken for a ride with regard to shipping costs etc.

I understand where you're coming from, and sympathize.

I fully appreciate that nobody's heard the seller's side of the story and would ask that they bear that in mind.

You are expressing your self graciously, I note and appreciate that.

He may or may not wish to air his side publicly.

That's possible, and that's his choice either way.

Whether he does so or not I wouldn't want to turn otd into a public slanging match.

I did not think you would, and I'd just as soon keep any potential flame wars just that, potential [or preferably defused].

I'm sure the other otd viewers feel the same.

I am assuming so too.
