if you take the quote for repair as correct add the offer price then you're at about $500. given the watch has seen good use it would sell for $750 (or maybe more) giving your repairer $250 + profit on the repair cost to make his living. naturally it would sell for more on ebay but you need to take photos, write the description, deal with some strange ebayers questions, find it's been lost in the post etc. etc.
so list it on ebay if you can afford the time, or why not get it repaired and buy a different, cheap waterproof watch that doesn't matter if it get bashed, lost or drowned.
