: "polished" in English. One describes a state, the

: If I was to say something "ist poliert" and something
: else "ist poliert geworden", you would (hopefully) see
: a difference, but if I just say the former, you might read it as
: the latter.

: By polished, I think Abel meant something unequivocal like
: "ist (ab Hersteller) poliert" but the possibility is
: there in English to read "polished" as the process,
: not the state.
