Must be quick now, but let me point out the following:

• Heuer suggests that Fangio was an "ambassador", long before the days of Jim Clark. I believe that Heuer was also using motorsports in its advertising well before 1967.
• Heuer's connection to motorsports went far beyond one racer wearing a particular watch; if you would have surveyed the pit or paddock in the 1960s, I believe that you would have seen Heuer as the dominant brand of stopwatch, dashboard timer, board-mounted timer, hand-held chronograph, etc. I don't believe that Enicar played in this market.
