What I wrote to the whiners on Hodinkee

I like it. Here is what I wrote as a response to the whiners who responded to the Hodinkee article.

"As a serious collector of vintage Heuer watches I think the negative talk about the date window is picky and quite frankly petty. TAG Heuer needs to try to make this a profitable venture. Anybody who liked this sort of democratic watch design process should wish that it is profitable for TAG Heuer so that perhaps they continue to allow input from vintage fans. If you don't like the new larger size and the date window, by all means step up to the plate and buy an original while you still can (I will not be selling mine). As far as this vintage Heuer lover is concerned this may be the first new watch I have purchased for at least 40 years. I love it."
