OTD is a powerful tool !!
In Response To: How bad is it out in the wild? ()

If we do not think this forum is a powerful tool for collectors, buyers and sellers, I think we are fooling ourselves.
How many auctions do you see references to this site, there are quite a few.
My comments about the Bonhams auction brought me two emails from them. One being a mass email, followed by a personal one.
I would support a moratorium on after sale comments, as we know if it is a good buy. What percentage of the "good" Heuers
are purchased by those of us that contribute here ? I can only assume it is a fairly high number.
Do a Google search on your favorite Heuer, you are certainly going to get OTD hits.

I am sorry Rob, and hope all of us will stay away from the the after sale comments and even more importantly, never try to
undermine an auction that has ended. You can assume it is one of "us" that won the auction.
