For the answer to the NUMBER #1 most frequently asked question here--for details or value of a specific older Omega watch you have--go to: Tell Me About My Omega. | Learn more about How To Include Photos and HTML In Your Postings. | To contact someone with a question not relevant to other readers of the forum, please click on their email address and contact them privately. |
: Another problem I found is that while the
: helium release valve has an Omega symbol,
: the crown does not.
That is DEFINITELY wrong! Return it immediately and demand FULL refund given that the watch had been UNDENIABLY ALTERED since it left the factory.
Before you send it back, take very clear photographs of the watch, box and closeups of the opened back and non-logoed crown issues. DO NOT mention to the dealer that you documented the problems with photographs--save this as an ace up your sleeve to pull out ONLY if they give you trouble on the full refund.
If they REALLY give you trouble, report it to the eBay fraud department, since they claimed the watch to be new and authentic which it clearly wasn't.
Once you have your refund in hand, THEN post negative feedback on them on eBay--mentioning that the watch was not in original condition as it had clearly been clearly opened and altered with incorrect parts.
Good luck!
