: I have a 22 year old gold and diamond Omega
: watch. Unfortunately, it is not working
: properly and I was told that the movement
: cannot be replaced. I bought this new 22
: years ago for $2500 and would now like to
: sell it. Is anyone interested?
*Who* told you the movement cannot be replaced? Have you sent it to OMEGA headquarters in Switzerland? They can repair watches that others cannot.
But if you are looking to sell it, you won't get much interest based on what little you have told us about the watch. If you want anyone to possibly be curious or interested, you need to mention some critical details. Such as:
Is there any way you can post a photo of it here?
If the movement cannot be repaired or replaced with OMEGA parts, then the only reasomable option is to have a generic quartz movement put in it so it is at least functional as a pretty piece of jewelry. So I wouldn't expect to be able to sell it for much.
By the way, before anyone else mentions the normal 'no for sale postings' rule here, I am intentionally letting this message pass because it really is more of a 'what are my salvage options' type of question.
