If they are already talking about a "retrofit" movement, it means that the current movement is non-repairable and they do not believe they can obtain an original OMEGA replacement for that movement.

Find out which movement calibre your watch takes. Get that and the serial number of the watch. Then contact OMEGA headquarters in Switzerland with that info. You can reach them through the Contact form on their website (omegawatches.com) and ask if there are still spares available of that movement. They may have ones at the Swiss service center that are not available to repair shops in the US.
