Okay, I think these discussions are getting lost.
Let's not forget the movements are only worth $200 dollars.
I have an Oris that is much more sturdier and more accurate than my Omega thus far. And this is a dress watch that having worn it for the past two months since my Omega is getting reparied has gained a whopping +2 seconds - yes in two months.
I really like the look and feel of my Omega, but in the end it is really a basic watch with a good finish.
I recently came across several references to Swatch and its CEO in a few books. The swatch co. seems to be quite an example of marketing. In it, something kind of grated me - a comment by the CEO likening us to 5 year old kids mentalities in trying to sell us a watch. He was in fact saying that he was trying to get at that kid in us all and so I'm not surprised with the whole James Bond marketing. He is not selling a great tooled watch, but a cool looking watch.
