Among my goals when I post is to be educational, informative, entertaining, useful and fun. Depending upon the length of the post, I can't always hit them all, but I try to hit as many as I can. Well said. Thank you... I do try. Sometimes there is cause to go on rant, I understand that. Lord knows I have posted long and loud on more than one occasion. Likewise, Peter's first response was pretty gracious. Often, the secret to being gracious is not saying much, if anything. One get's into less trouble [and often experience fewer regrets] when doing so. I've enjoyed the forum and learned quite a bit in the short time I've been lurking. And I too am a bit torn between what might be some functional advantages of quartz, and the pleasure of a nice mechanical. They each have their own gifts and deficiencies. I write a piece expressing this many years ago. While I was writting it, there were detractors who claimed that no one could write an unbiased assessment of the topic. I posted this... |
