A complete success !

The total sales exceed 6.5 million CHF/ 5.3 million USD / 3.9 Million CHF (including Buyers premium )

300 lots, so you can work out the average price.

20 lots stayed within their estimates. Only 1 single lot didn't reach it's minimum estimate

3 lots fetched more than 10 times their estimated upper limit, the most extreme being the fake Seamaster 300 which went for 13 times its estimated value. ( something fishey there ? Well it smells like a 3 week old Mackerel to me ! )

The cheapest watch went for 1093 CHF (incl Buyers premium ) & in total 8 watches went for under 2000 CHF. ( so there were a few that "we" could afford ) - these were primarily Megaquartzes, f300's & quartz models

7 lots went for over 200,000 CHF.

But can the results be measured in monetary terms alone ?

I don't think so. I think this auction has caused an immeasurable amount of publicity. Many collectors , worldwide, with deep pockets have now "woken" up to this brand.

It'll be interesting to see if these prices "stick" or if this was just a "Blip".
