Re: Dark Chocolate Dial Speedies
In Response To: Dark Chocolate Dial Speedies ()

I doubt that many would turn this color with exposure to sunlight. If this was the case we would see more of them on the market. As you may know some Rolex Explorer II dials turned to cream and their prices are about 3 times higher. Also a 1990s Daytona 16520 with black dial and white surrounds in the subdials had the white change to brownish and this model goes for twice the one without the color change. I think what was true for Rolex collecting for some time now is spilling over to Omega !
: Do you think that the dark chocolate dials were
: caused by excessive exposure to sunlight?
: I'm wondering if only a certain production
: run exhibits this characteristic, or if I
: could expose my Speedy to the sun and have
: my own dark chocolate dial Speedy!
