Re:Re: Look / Feel / Performance Time well

: The overall appearance is very good considering
: the price. The various parts fit well and
: the polished surfaces are uniformly smooth.
: As mentioned the screw down pushers and
: crown are functional unlike a more expensive
: Swiss watch I own. The chrono functions are
: crisp.

: The only shortcoming is the 12 hr register
: which is actually a second hour hand. As
: long as they were gearing this up why not
: make it a 24 hour dial like some of the
: Russian Buran Regulator chronos do. I could
: remove the large hour hand and turn it into
: a regulator dial very easily.

: The movement works as well or better than some
: Russian chronos that use the Valjoux 7734
: derived Poljot 3133 movement. Accurate to a
: few seconds per day and reliable for the
: time I have had it. In my experience these
: "new" old movements work as well
: as the trouble free originals I have owned.

: Attached is an illustration of the Buran
: Regulator dial, possible Alpha Regulator

Thanks for the nice post and Photos!
Even more info: On a timeing machine. Thay can be regulated well, Better than some 7750s( the 2 I have seen).
The screw crowns are not of the higher Quality. Meaning Note, that as the threads starts there is no step and it is corse Thread.
Most better watches have a little step and a finer thread. IWI at 1st had fine thread and in the last years has gone to this corse type for those of you who have bought them.
Movement quality still bugs me, ( for no good reason) But as A time keeper as good as it gets the 2 I worked with.
I own one for fun. With only 2 sub dials, thay also make a 2 sub dial modle.
I like the Heuer dailed one with the Danel J. Richards type #s dial .
and Love the Pocket watches Thanks Jeff for the reminder for the new folks , I loved it too.
