Your situation is amazingly similar to mine!

I bought a Heuer Carrera 1964 re-edition (white face) which arrived 2 days ago. It was purchased from an internet retailer but it was shipped with the wrong box containing instructions for the Calibre 17 movement. I know it's the wrong box because I have seen the "Classics" boxes that were issued for the Carrera re-editions that were released onto the market circa 1996 (I looked at buying one way back then but only just got my hands on one recently).

Anyway, I will try to contact the retailer to see if the box is available but the impression I get from reading the posts here is that it may be an impossibility. What makes things hard is that I live in New Zealand and the watch was purchased from the USA.

Anyway, apart from that I'm very happy with it! I have about 8 watches, one of which is a re-edition Monaco. I thought about getting the newer Carrera (with the ETA movement) but I thought it would be better to go for the rarer manual-wind one that use the Lemania 1873 movement.

Will let you guys know how I get on with sourcing the boxes. Hmmm....

P.S: Steve - did the box you were given that have a flip-lid on it, and was it packaged inside another cardbox outer box with the TAG Heuer logo?
