: Hi again;

As I looked again I think I noticed it has a Glucydur balance as it looks to be a gold color. the rotor is (I would guess) orginal. Most early 7750 in Heuers do not have a Glucydur balance . Is it still a 17 j. movment ? or 25 j.?
Maybe sombody swaped out the movment at one time ( no big deal its still the same thay never did much to them but stamp there Name on the rotor) That may also why the sub dials had to get the hands repainted, as It has been apart a few more times than one would like. Just a thought.
: We have other regulars who know more about this
: version of the Montreal [Hello, Chuck!!],
: but I believe that your watchmaker is
: correct.

: Beginning around 1977, Heuer made a Montreal
: that was powered by the Valjoux 7750
: movement (Reference number was 750.503).
: Yours has the correct dial and movement for
: this version of the Montreal, but the case
: was entirely different . . . suggesting a
: replacement. Inner bezel was also removed,
: to make the transplant feasible.

: Here is a photo that shows this version of the
: Montreal, in its correct case. (For ease of
: comparison, I will also post your photo
: below.)

: I won't hazard a guess regarding the value. It
: will be worth considerably more to someone
: who might have a source for the correct case
: and bezel.

: Jeff
