Very interesting Bullitt.. I agree that sometimes on an online forum it can be easy to be swept up my consensus, without having the luxury of handling such a watch.

If I were to play 'devils advocate', and oppose the view that it isn't genuine, then I may ask..

If 'faked' - Why go to so much trouble to produce such a thing, when fitting a genuine Heuer dial is easier.
Why choose such an obscure army / markings. Why not even bother to print a Heuer shield. Why print several dials with different lettering on the dial.

To me, All these questions make me think that it is entirely possible that the story that Bullitt recounted could be true.
They a clearly NOS.. not having been issued, no issue no's., and could either be as Bullitt suggested (never paid for) or a test sample that never saw the light of day.

I'd love to get to the bottom of this mystery!
