Re: Chuck REBOOTED: Chuck's thoughts in a more con Posted By: Babin Jean-Christophe Date: 2/8/08 13:08 GMT In Response To: Chuck REBOOTED: Chuck's thoughts in a more concise form... (Chicagoland Chuck Maddox) Dear Chuck, I love the idea of possibly using El Primero to have a superlative chronograph inside out and probably the Carrera, or perhaps also the new Grand Carrera might be the ideal "chassis" to execute your idea. Hello Jean-Christophe and thank you for your reply! We used El Primero with a customized TAG Heuer version called Calibre 36 (36.000 beats/hours) in one of our Link models, but distributed quite confidentially. We had a great Monza Cal 36 as well a few years ago but it has been discontinued for lack of enough movements and has already reached collector's value. I had hoped that getting suitable quantities of the El-Primero base movement wouldn't be so problematic. On an other register, the PVD-black treatments are I believe fitting very well the sporty-chic character of TAG Heuer, and yes indeed, we should re-explore them. There is certainty PVD black in the firm's blood. Perhaps new Stainless and PVD versions of the Pasadena could be ramped up for production quickly. Never hesitate to bring ideas. That's the only way to progress and innovate. Thanks again and chat with you soon. JC Thank you again for listening and conversing! |
