I vote yes, it does count. We've seen a couple more over the years, mainly in this 1153 S form but also a couple of 110.253 Bs too.
And thanks for the thanks! Someone asked recently what the "mission" of this forum is - for me, it is exactly that sort of thing, sharing and disseminating the info we have. If I can prevent one person from buying a pup, or turn them onto a watch they hadn't considered before, then that's my good deed done for the day :)
Partly about picking up the baton from who went before, like the much missed Chuck Maddox, and also to start the generation who will come after off on the right track. Who knows what they'll find? And despite the scare stories we sometimes read, I think there will be another generation to come who get into watches - there is just a fascination between men (and some women too, to be balanced) and mechanical devices that stands the test of time, whether it be cars, watches, or ancient MIGs abandoned by the side of Albanian roads (for anyone who saw the most recent "Top Gear"!).
Unusual and rare eh? I'll have to keep my eyes open on that front for you Paul!
