I decided on the Seamaster Pro (mid size edition, the full size one was too big for my liking) for several reasons-

-all the peformance of a rolex for half the money. Rolex is good, but certainly not worth double the money. -you are not as much of a target with Omega. With Rolex, people will always comment, 'look at the rolex', with Omega, people instead say, 'look at that nice watch'. There's something pompous about wearing a Rolex that I just don't like. I don't like to wear a watch that is like a big jewel advertising on my wrist (another reason why I opted for the Mid sized Seamaster instead of the large 41mm full size one). I just like a good sturdy attractive watch to wear everyday. -I like the looks of the Seamaster better than the Submariner.
