I am sorry to hear about your bad service. Hopefully your bad experience with Omega is rare. I had an issue with a brand new speedmaster that I had purchased while out of the country. After a few weeks and back in the usa, the watch would periodically stop working, so I sent it in to the warranty center for repair instead of returning it since the original place I purchased it from was half way around the world. After about 3 weeks I called to check on the status of the repair since I had heard nothing. They said they would be working on it soon. A few more weeks went by and I still did not have it back. I called them and expressed my frustration that they had had my watch longer than I had since I only wore it for 2 weeks and they had it for 5 weeks. I also asked about getting a steel band put on since I only had the leather one. They told me it would be $200, so I asked if I could get a discount due to my troubles. A few day later I received my watch back along with a FREE steel band. While I wasn't happy about the wait, I was happy that I was able to get a watch purchased on the other side of the world fixed here in the usa and also excited a free steel band. Since then I have purchased 2 additional Omega's.
