I had similar problems as the OP. My watch came back with scuff marks and scratches. It took a lot of effort and half a year to get them to rectify it but it still has flaws - noticable flaws.
I have other watches, some cheaper, some more expensive. I have never had any problems getting them serviced. Since they are all automatics - they need to be serviced.
For one watch company it is standard to check the condition of my watch for any marks when I drop it off and they return it in the same condition.
I was planning to buy more omegas since they are in terms of cost and product a good deal - but since servicing is a major issue with omegas as this seems to happen too often - I would rather shop elsewhere. I think their problem is they are too concerned with growth and have become just a large corporation unconcerned with quality anymore - probably much like rolex.
Although they have some nice wathces - there are many better brands out there - especially when it comes to service - which is everything with automatic watches.
