Re: Patrizzi Auction Results: Three Simple Questions

Jeff... All the lots were sold in few seconds and a lot of people hadn't got the time for their bid.
1700 Euros for a total fake Siffert on 11630 case and 3200 Euros for a Daytona (that on ebay people usually don't buy for 1000 $) for me are crazy prieces...

A lot of Monaco (but also a great % of the lots) are not in order.
Great performances of the Silverstones.
Very slow the price of the golden Carrera.

I think that, in this way, it's impossible to think to have more success.

Near christmast, in this period, with these watches...

: Readers:

: So much has been written about this auction, that I sense a bit of
: "fatigue" in the community. Still, I believe that it
: will be worthwhile to attempt a "wrap-up", with three
: simple questions, as follows: where did you see strength /
: which Lots or models went higher than you had expected?

: where did you see weakness / watches that went for lower prices
: than you had expected?

: what does this auction mean for the future of vintage Heuers? what
: impact on prices in our community / future auctions / dealer
: prices / etc.? Will we see a "Patrizzi Effect" on the
: vintage Heuers, as we saw an "Omegamania Effect"?
: Please provide your answers -- short and sweet, or at whatever
: length and level of detail you prefer. Of course, you can also
: feel free to explain the "strength" or
: "weakness" of specific Lots or the entire event.

: Here is David's table, showing the lot-by-lot results --
