Hi Ita and welcome! 1965 impossible!

Many thanks for your post Ita, my comments should not be construed as "negative" i think a reasonable success to me means just that quite successful, which i think it was.

I bid on the phone and have to say was thoroughly impressed with the staff, very helpful and very friendly. I agree it was a different event to Omegamania and i for one agree, we do not want Heuer to be out of reach to allcomers if possible!

1969 is without a doubt the launch date for the first Monaco the version we are talking about from your sale would have been late 1969 to early 1970. I have no idea why Tag have confirmed 1965 as there was no chronomatic automatic movement until 1969!

Best wishes

Richard

: Hi Mark
: Thanks for that. What I was shown was a clearly defined Heuer
: confirmation sheet with a photo and in the year square next to
: it "1965" and along side a box with a description - it
: would have been very difficult to make a mistake as each item
: was clearly photographed and seperate from other item
