Two Daytonas: Shockers / Stars (??) of the Auction

If you are a "little shocked", then I will admit to being a "lot shocked" by these two Daytona sales. When I saw these results, and studied these photos again, I wondered what had happened in the auction room: two or three bidders, each determined to "win", regardless of the real value? newbies comparing the prices to Daytonas of the Rolex variety?

Let's see what the next nice one fetches, on EBay or a dealer site. My guess: the sales price will start with a dollar sign "$" and a "1". But who knows . . . maybe this marks the break-out for the Daytonas.

Jeff

: I'm a little shocked at the high prices brought on the 2
: Daytonas... otherwise, it doesn't appear to me that much new
: ground was broken on the other various models...

: But it's always nice to see our Heuers out there in the auction
: world playing with the other big boys :)

: cheers,
: Peter
