Readers:
So much has been written about this auction, that I sense a bit of "fatigue" in the community. Still, I believe that it will be worthwhile to attempt a "wrap-up", with three simple questions, as follows:
- where did you see strength / which Lots or models went higher than you had expected?
- where did you see weakness / watches that went for lower prices than you had expected?
- what does this auction mean for the future of vintage Heuers? what impact on prices in our community / future auctions / dealer prices / etc.? Will we see a "Patrizzi Effect" on the vintage Heuers, as we saw an "Omegamania Effect"?
Please provide your answers -- short and sweet, or at whatever length and level of detail you prefer. Of course, you can also feel free to explain the "strength" or "weakness" of specific Lots or the entire event.
