I only kept an eye on Monacos and Silverstones. Silverstones considering they appeared very good to mint and had stickers/bracelets did not achieve high values, but confirmed that blue is the top of the market (only colour which had no original sticker and made 400Euro more than next highest from memory). Monacos were as expected, there or thereabouts the lowish reserves, not the best examples as most had dial isssues although some had nice cases & stickers, so prices about right. The odd ball was the last Monaco lot which went for 5000Euro plus. Still unsure as to why, perhaps someone else can shed some light on this lot? Back case was stamped with numbers and incorrectly listed as 1965, however if it was a 1965 example that would explain high relative price ;-) !!!
Bunds did go for stronger money, but overall i suspect volume of product and relative quality + lack of manufacturer support was reason prices were not higher at this auction...
I'm not sure this has done much other than slightly raise the profile a notch, long term collectors i'm sure will be thinking of next year and the events to come...
Cheers

: Readers:
: So much has been written about this auction, that I sense a bit of
: "fatigue" in the community. Still, I believe that it
: will be worthwhile to attempt a "wrap-up", with three
: simple questions, as follows: where did you see strength /
: which Lots or models went higher than you had expected?
: where did you see weakness / watches that went for lower prices
: than you had expected?
: what does this auction mean for the future of vintage Heuers? what
: impact on prices in our community / future auctions / dealer
: prices / etc.? Will we see a "Patrizzi Effect" on the
: vintage Heuers, as we saw an "Omegamania Effect"?
: Please provide your answers -- short and sweet, or at whatever
: length and level of detail you prefer. Of course, you can also
: feel free to explain the "strength" or
: "weakness" of specific Lots or the entire event.
