Re: Patrizzi Auction Results: Three Simple Questions
I personally thought the auction was a great sucsess for our beloved vintage heuers in general. Auction houses always attract the older collecters and the non www users and any watch collector would embrace such a mass of heuer watches on sale. I personally bidded on the auction via the net and found it ok but did end up bidding more than planned because of the time delay...one was 1000 euros more than i wanted to pay!!! luckly someone else bidded above me...pheww. I like the fact there was no commision fee for buyers but some mayhave forgotten about the high 20% VAT.
As to the general assumption to the bidding. i feel the 60's watches sold better than the 70's. (excluding monacos) i really think the carrera is the fav..and this era is more classic overall. The carrera seafarer was the big suprise in sale price. The following day was actually the better day....for the sellers as the rolexes, pateks etc sold very high i thought.
good for heuers, i expect some newbies arriving on the forum in the near future
